Continental Cable Trading

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This page explains what information Continental Cable Trading (CCTR) collects through this website, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can exercise your rights. It describes what the site actually does — nothing more.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this website is:

Company
Continental Cable Trading (CCTR)
Representative
H.Y. Jin
Email
[email protected]
Address
106-311, Yangdal-Ro 7Gwangmyeong-Si, Gyeonggi-Do14351, Rep. of Korea

2. What we collect

We collect personal information only when you send us an inquiry through the request-for-quote form. The form asks for:

  • Name and email address (required)
  • Company, country and phone number (optional)
  • Product category, quantity or length, and your message

Our visit counter records only the number of visits per day. It stores no IP addresses, device identifiers or browsing history.

To prevent abuse, the inquiry endpoint keeps a temporary count of submissions per IP address in server memory for up to one hour. This count is never written to the database.

3. Why we use it

We use the information you submit to:

  • Answer your inquiry and prepare a quotation
  • Contact you about the products you asked for, by email or — if you gave a number — by phone
  • Keep a record of the inquiries we have received and their status (new, contacted, quoted, won or lost, closed)

We do not send newsletters or marketing emails, and we never sell or share your details for marketing purposes.

4. How long we keep it

Inquiry records are kept until your inquiry is resolved and are deleted upon request. Our administrator can delete any inquiry — together with any internal notes attached to it — directly from the administration console, so deletion requests are carried out without delay.

Encrypted database backups are kept for up to 90 days and then discarded automatically. Daily visit counts contain no personal data and are kept as statistics.

5. Service providers

We rely on a small number of service providers to run this website. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service:

  • EmailJS — delivers a copy of your inquiry to our mailbox. The details you entered in the form pass through EmailJS servers for delivery.
  • Google Maps — the office map is embedded only after you click “Load map”. Until then nothing is sent to Google; once loaded, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare — provides our CDN, DNS and security layer. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver the site and block attacks; it may also give us aggregate, cookieless traffic statistics that contain no personal identifiers.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure — hosts the virtual server (Chuncheon region, Republic of Korea) on which this website and its database run.
  • GitHub (Microsoft) — runs our nightly database backup. A copy is transferred to a temporary GitHub-hosted runner, encrypted there with AES-256, and kept as an encrypted artifact for up to 90 days; GitHub cannot read its contents.

Inquiry data is stored in the database on that server and, in encrypted form only, in the backups described in section 4. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with anyone for marketing.

6. Cookies and browser storage

This site uses no advertising or analytics cookies. It stores only the following in your browser:

  • cookie-consent (localStorage) — whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner (visit counter)
  • locale (localStorage) — your language choice (English or Korean)
  • visited_<date> (localStorage) and lastVisitDate (first-party cookie, expires at midnight KST) — set only after you accept, so a visit is counted once per day; both contain a date and nothing else
  • Cloudflare technical cookies (for example __cf_bm) — may be set by Cloudflare for security and bot protection
  • Google Maps cookies — only if you load the map (see section 5)
  • admin-token (cookie) — set only when the site owner signs in to the administration console; never set for visitors

You can clear these at any time in your browser settings. If you decline the banner, no visit is counted and we set no cookie.

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Show you the information we hold about you
  • Correct it
  • Delete it
  • Stop using it (withdraw your consent)

To do so, email [email protected] from the address you used in the inquiry, or quote your reference number.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Korea this is the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC).

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Inquiry data is stored in a database on our server and is accessible only to the administrator through a password-protected console.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
